I collaborate with organizations and leaders through advisory, learning, and speaking engagements.
Engagements are select, scoped carefully, and oriented around a specific question worth answering well. Below: how the work tends to take shape, and how to start a conversation.
Advisory
Trusted counsel for leadership teams working through high-stakes, ambiguous decisions. Engagements are scoped tightly and focus on the questions where being wrong is expensive.
- 01 Strategic decision-making Framing, options analysis, and the work of choosing under uncertainty.
- 02 Complex problem solving Diagnosing problems that resist easy diagnosis — typically across organizational seams.
- 03 Executive-level support Sounding-board access for CEOs, board chairs, and senior teams over 3–9 months.
Training & Coaching
Structured programs that build durable capability inside the organization, rather than dependence on outside help. Designed with the team that will use them.
- 01 Workshops One- and two-day intensives on judgement, evidence, and decision quality.
- 02 Leadership development Cohort programs for senior leaders moving into broader strategic mandates.
- 03 Capability building Embedded engagements that leave teams with a method, not just a deliverable.
Speaking
Keynotes and convenings on strategy, complexity, and the practice of leading research-led organizations. I take a small number of speaking engagements each year.
- 01 Keynotes Original talks for conferences, summits, and closed-door senior events.
- 02 Panels Moderation and contribution on questions of strategy, evidence, and institutional practice.
- 03 Expert sessions Off-the-record briefings for boards, investment committees, and policy bodies.
Three commitments that shape every engagement.
Tailored collaboration
No fixed templates. Scope, cadence, and team are designed around the question — not the other way round.
Select engagements only
A maximum of twelve substantive engagements each year. We discuss fit before we discuss anything else.
Depth over volume
Long arcs, small teams, careful work. Most engagements run 3–9 months with senior involvement throughout.
Tell me a little about the question — and we'll see if it's a fit.
Start with a short email describing the question, timing, and kind of support you are considering.
If there is a fit, I will reply within two working days with the simplest next step.
